Ear Buds for State Testing
EHFAR donated ear bud headphones to New Lexington Middle School’s Sixth grade team. These ear buds can improve test-taking ability by allowing students to hear math, science and other test items read to them as many times as they need, and at their own pace. They are not used for questions where reading comprehension is the test. The goal is to provide clearer understanding of the test question to support better overall performance on these all-important state tests. By supplying ALL New Lexington Middle School sixth graders a set of ear buds, we were able to level the playing field, assuring ALL students had access to this tool.
Wheelchair Brake
Insurance was able to help Jody Thompson get her daughter a new wheelchair but would not cover the brake mechanism. The brake is essential to securing her daughter’s chair when she’s a passenger in the family van. EHFAR donated a new wheelchair safety brake for this Perry County kiddo. Jody and her daughter are happily enjoying travel time together with no worry the chair will slip or move around the van!
New Restrooms at the Perry County Fairgrounds
This video produced by the Crooksville News shows the before and after of the amazing renovation / rebuild of the restrooms at the county fairgrounds. Beautiful, clean, secure and with everything our 4H kids and families need! EHFAR is proud to have joined a list of 40 county donors that made this a reality!
How To Request Help
We welcome inquiries on behalf of children or programs serving children in Perry County.
We ask that you complete a brief form detailing your beneficiary’s need. Our funds can support school fees, clothing or shoes, a subscription for monthly books mailed by the Dolly Parton Imagination Library of Perry County, or something else, we’re happy to hear from you and hope we can help.
The form can be downloaded and filled out by hand or opened on a computer and completed there. Once completed, please drop off or mail to:
